How to get here?

Despite the extreme natural conditions, operating in the NFFC area is easy. Even tough the region is located far up to the north it is easily reached via good regular flight connections and roads that are well taken care of. Cellular network is wide and one can find broadband internet access almost everywhere.

 

By Air

Oulu Airport is the second busiest airport in Finland with excellent domestic and foreign flight connections. With just 50 minutes of flight time, there are twenty flights a day to Helsinki by Finnair and Blue1. Other carriers with frequent connections within Finland and to Europe include Air Baltic.

Oulu has numerous rail connections to different parts of Finland by the national railway company VR. Modern Pendolino and InterCity-trains enable comfortable and easy travel. Travelling from Helsinki to Oulu takes 5 hours 44 minutes in a Pendolino train and less than 7 hours in an IC train

By Road

The area has a wide and well-maintained road network. Several scheduled buses arrive in Oulu every day from various parts of Finland.
